Beauty Tricks using Olive Oil

Hi,
It's me Jeannine, with another Beauty post!
Olive Oil is such an amazing helper, not only for health benefits, but also when it comes to beauty.
I'll show you a few DIY tricks and list the main benefits of extra virgin olive oil for your skin, hair and nails.

Beauty Tricks using Olive Oil

Some benefits of extra virgin olive oil:

-anti-aging properties (lots of antioxidants)
-provides elasticity of skin (Oleic Acid)
-renews skin cells faster (Vitamin A)
-repairs skin damage (Vitamin E)
-helps clear skin from acne (does not clog pores!)
-hydrates
 and many more...

The Tips'n'Tricks:
(for all of those tips, please use extra virgin olive oil!)

Eye Cream: Use Olive oil as a night-time eye cream. It will hydrate the tender skin under your eyes and will soften and prevent fine lines.
Softly tap a small amount under your eyes, using your ring finger, before bed time.

Lash serum: Apply olive oil to your lashes with a Q-tip. It will make your lashes grow stronger, fuller and faster!

Shaving Cream: You can use olive oil instead of a shaving gel or cream. This is great if you're sensitive to those harsh shaving creams. Plus, you don't have to worry about moisturising you skin afterwards, olive oil takes care of that.

Make Up Remover: If you have trouble getting off your waterproof make up, try using olive oil on a cotton pad, it gets of that mascara in no time! For an all over face make up remover I suggest mixing water and olive oil in a small bottle(ca. 5 parts water/1 part Olive oil). Before using it with a cotton pad, shake well.

Smooth Feet: Before going to bed, apply a thick layer of olive oil on to your feet, cover with socks and go to bed. You'll wake up with amazingly soft feet! Works just as well on your hands!

Stronger Nails: Use olive oil as a cuticle cream or if you're not wearing any nail polish massage some in to your nails. You will notice your nails getting stronger and healthier.

Hair Care: If your hair is damaged and dull, give it a nice nourishing mask.
Apply olive oil to the ends of your hair and leaf in for 30 mins, or even better over night, then wash your hair as usual.

Super soft lips: Mix brown sugar with olive oil and gently rub over your lips, this will exfoliate and moisturise at the same time.

Pimp your moisturizer: If your moisturizer isn't rich enough, just add in a little olive oil. Same for your hair conditioner btw.

Love, Jeannine
